Rainfall warning in effect for:
  • Yarmouth County
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE MARITIMES TODAY FROM THE SOUTHWEST. A WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LOW WILL CONTINUE TO GIVE PERIODS OF RAIN TO NOVA SCOTIA TODAY. RAIN WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT OVER SOUTHWESTERN NOVA SCOTIA AS THE WARM FRONT PASSES OVER THE PROVINCE. AREAS OF SOUTHWESTERN NOVA SCOTIA ARE FORECAST TO RECEIVE UP TO 50 MILLIMETRES OF RAIN BY TUESDAY MORNING.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

A low pressure system will bring rain at times heavy this afternoon and tonight. Total rainfall amounts of up to 50 mm are expected before ending early on Tuesday.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
