northern New Hampshire.

Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
Gale Warnings are in effect for the coastal waters of the
Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Wind Advisories are in effect for parts of eastern New York,
southern Vermont, southern New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

At 1000 AM EDT...A strong low pressure system with a minimum
central pressure of 983 mb (29.03 in Hg) remains positioned just
offshore of the Northeast. Conditions are improving this morning,
and radar and surface observations show snow showers gradually
decreasing in coverage across the region. Light to moderate snow
showers are lingering over interior areas while light to moderate
rain showers linger along the coast.

This system is forecast to gradually pull away from the coast
tonight. Precipitation coverage will continue to decrease, and
winds will slowly diminish as the system moves away from the
region. Minor coastal flooding and beach erosion will remain
possible with high tide this evening. Effects from this storm are
expected to end Thursday morning.
