Special weather statement in effect for:

Antigonish County
Significant rainfall possible Wednesday.

Rainfall amounts: potentially exceeding 50 mm locally.

Locations: mainland Nova Scotia.

Time span: early Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

Remarks: An area of low pressure will spread rain into the region early Wednesday morning. The rain is expected to become intermittent near noon with locally heavy downpours and embedded thundershowers continuing into Wednesday evening.

Weather systems of this nature can cause a significant amount of rain to fall in a short period of time leading to localized flooding and sharp reductions to visibility.

Significant rainfall possible Wednesday.

Rainfall amounts: possibly exceeding 50 mm locally.

Locations: The Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia from Yarmouth to Halifax County - east of Porters Lake.

Time span: early Wednesday morning through to Wednesday night.

Remarks: An area of low pressure will spread rain into the region early Wednesday morning. The rain will be heavy at times and likely embedded with thunderstorms that could give very high rainfall amounts in a short period of time.
