Winter storm warning for
Queens County P.E.I. continued

Snow and blowing snow giving an additional 5 centimetres of snowfall and very poor visibilities in blowing snow this evening.

This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

An intense low pressure system over Cabot Strait will track northeastward tonight across Newfoundland.

Very strong northwest winds gusting to 100 km/h, snow and blowing snow are giving very poor visibilities. Conditions are forecast to improve tonight.

In addition higher than normal water levels and large waves due to the strong northwest winds will give rough pounding surf to the north facing coastline of Prince Edward Island today and tonight.

Guysborough County continued

Northwest wind gusts of 90 to 110 km/h this evening.

This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions listen for updated statements.

An intense low pressure system over Cabot Strait will track northeastward across Newfoundland tonight.

Strong northwest winds in the wake of the system over eastern areas of the province gusting to 90 to 120 km/h will persist early this evening. Winds are expected to ease to below warning criteria later tonight.

Precipitation has changed to snow over most of Eastern Nova Scotia and has ended over western areas. Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 5 centimetres are forecast over eastern portions of the province this evening. However 15 centimetres of snow along with blowing snow is expected for Western Cape Breton resulting in whiteout conditions.

Northwest wind gusts up to 120 km/h and snowfall amounts of 15 centimetres forecast for tonight.

This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions listen for updated statements.

An intense low pressure system over Cabot Strait will track northeastward across Newfoundland tonight.
