Stanley - Doaktown - Blackville Area issued

Up to 70 millimetres of rain is expected by Thursday night.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A nearly stationary frontal trough over Northern New Brunswick will persist over the next two days. As a result rain will continue in the above regions tonight and Thursday. During this time 40 to 70 millimetres of rain can be expected.

PORTIONS OF MAINE DURING THIS TIME WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.

THIS WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT RISES ALONG AREA RIVERS AND

STREAMS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE BIG BLACK...ALLAGASH AND SAINT

JOHN RIVERS AND POSSIBLE FLOODING THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY.
