...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE
TUESDAY NIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Central Highlands Maine, Far Eastern Maine, Far
Northern Maine, and North Woods Maine, including the following
areas, in Central Highlands Maine, Central Piscataquis,
Northern Penobscot, and Southern Piscataquis. In Far Eastern
Maine, Southeast Aroostook. In Far Northern Maine, Northeast
Aroostook and Northwest Aroostook. In North Woods Maine,
  Northern Piscataquis and Northern Somerset.

* From Monday evening through late Tuesday night

* The combination of rainfall and extensive snow melt Monday
into Monday night will result in significant runoff and the
potential for flooding. In addition, portions of northern
rivers where ice still remains intact will likely see this ice
dislodged resulting in possible localized ice jams. The
greatest chance for flooding will initially be on small
streams and low lying areas Monday night into Tuesday then on
the larger rivers Tuesday night into early Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
