Saint John and County
Significant snowfall likely.

Locations: Saint John and County.

Total snowfall: up to 10 cm.

Time span: late this evening and overnight.

Remarks: Precipitation will begin as rain early this evening and then change to snow or rain later this evening then end Friday morning.

Travel could become difficult with accumulating snow during the overnight hours.  If you must travel, be prepared for delays and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions.

Fredericton and Southern York County
Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

Locations: most of New New Brunswick.

Time span: tonight and continuing into Friday morning.

Remarks: Rain or snow will develop early this evening and then change to snow and end on Friday.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 6
  inches for a storm total of 5 to 10 inches. Locally greater totals
  possible in an area from Piscataquis county to southeast Aroostook
  county.

* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far Northern,
  North Woods, and Penobscot Valley Maine

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Periods of locally heavy snowfall may lead to rapid snow
  accumulations. The weight of heavy, wet snow on tree limbs may
  down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel
  could be very difficult due to heavy snow creating low visibility,
  and wet roads freezing under new snow.  These hazardous conditions
  will impact travel tonight through Friday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel extremely dangerous. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of
an emergency.
