Acadian Peninsula continued
This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected in this region. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A developing low pressure system approaching from south of Nova Scotia tonight will intensify rapidly as it tracks northward through the Eastern Gulf of St. Lawrence on Monday.
Strong westerly winds will develop over Eastern New Brunswick on Monday with gusts to 90 km/h expected later in the day over the Acadian Peninsula. Winds gusting to 70 km/h are expected in other eastern areas of New Brunswick. These winds are expected to give local blowing and drifting snow over exposed areas along the New Brunswick East Coast.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.
A low pressure system will develop south of Nova Scotia tonight and intensify as it passes east of Cape Breton and then over the Eastern Gulf of St. Lawrence on Monday. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 centimetres are expected over eastern portions of the island. Very strong northwesterlies gusting to 90 km/h and some blowing snow are expected with this storm on Monday. These especially strong winds will also generate pounding surf on the North Coast on Monday.

Over Eastern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton the snow will change to freezing rain and then to rain tonight. The rain will change back to flurries as very strong northwesterlies develop and colder temperatures return. Blizzard conditions can be expected Monday afternoon and evening in the Cape Breton Highlands.
Winds will be especially strong along the west coast of Cape Breton with gusts likely exceeding 100 km/h. These winds will also generate pounding surf on Monday.
