MONDAY AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a Coastal Flood
Advisory, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT
Monday. A Coastal Flood Watch has also been issued. This Coastal
Flood Watch is in effect from Monday morning through Monday
afternoon.

* TIMING...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 10 PM this
  evening to 2 AM EDT Monday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from
  Monday morning through Monday afternoon.

* Impacts...Expect splashover and minor flooding.

* Location...Southwest coast of Maine and coastal New Hampshire.

* Coastal Flooding...Minor flooding and splashover is expected,
  with possible beach erosion in vulnerable locations.

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

A Coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for
flooding are expected to develop. Coastal residents should be
alert for later statements or warnings...and take action to
protect property.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Stanley - Doaktown - Blackville Area
A low pressure system approaching from the west will pass south of the Maritimes tonight and Monday. Over northwestern New Brunswick a mixture of rain and snow is expected to begin this evening or near midnight and taper to showers or flurries by early Monday morning. Snowfall amounts of 2 to 5 centimetres are forecast especially over higher terrain.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Highlands Maine, Far
Northern Maine and North Woods Maine.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
A period of mixed precipitation is possible this afternoon and early
evening over portions of northwest Maine and this evening into the
overnight hours over far northeast Maine. At this time, with minimum
surface temperatures expected to be just above freezing during the
mixed precipitation period after high temperatures reach into the
lower to mid 40s prior to precipitation onset, any accumulation of
snow and/or sleet will be less than an inch mainly on grassy surfaces
with no significant impacts expected on road surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Hazardous weather is mot expected at this time.
