A frontal trough will remain entrenched over the Maritimes tonight and slowly move eastward on Monday. Rain will intensify this evening producing heavy downpours and persist through Monday before tapering off Monday evening. Rainfall amounts of 60 to 100 mm can be expected for most areas with some locally higher amounts possible.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

  • Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A strong cold frontal trough will move into New Brunswick tonight and Monday. Rain at times heavy will develop tonight and persist over southeastern sections of the province until early evening when it will gradually mix with or change to snow. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 millimetres are expected with locally higher amounts possible.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
  • Fredericton and Southern York County
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

A strong cold frontal trough will cross New Brunswick from west to east overnight tonight and Monday. Rain ahead of the trough will change to snow at times heavy as it tracks very slowly across the province on Monday. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres are expected by early Monday evening in the above regions with locally higher amounts possible especially over higher terrain.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
