* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 20
to 30 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far
Northern and North Woods Maine.
* WHEN...From 1 AM to 9 AM EST Friday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The dangerously cold wind chills could
cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 3 to 6 feet. For the Freezing
Spray Advisory, light accumulation of freezing spray expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Waters from Eastport, ME to Schoodic Point, ME
out 25 NM and Coastal Waters from Schoodic Point, ME to
Stonington, ME out 25 NM.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 11 PM EST Friday.
For the Freezing Spray Advisory, from 3 AM Friday to 7 AM EST
Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in freezing spray is hazardous.
Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic components
inoperative. Ice accretion on decks and superstructures may
result in some loss of stability. Conditions will be hazardous

Mariners should prepare for accumulation of ice on their vessel
