The following is a summary of weather event information received by 
Environment Canada. 

A low pressure system brought a mix of precipitation to the province 
which began as rain overnight Thursday night before changing to snow 
early Friday morning. The snow persisted through much of the day 
Friday, ending in the afternoon or early evening over parts of Cape 
Breton, which received the highest snowfall amounts.
