* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches for

  a storm total of 3 to 5 inches, highest amounts on higher

  elevations.

* WHERE...Northern Aroostook County.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The

  hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will

...Be Prepared For Slippery Conditions This Morning...

The first accumulating snow of the season is continuing across

northern Aroostook County and portions of the North Woods. Locally

heavy snowfall is expected this morning over portions of the area,

before mixing with rain by noon. The North Woods are expected to

remain all snow into this afternoon, with the higher terrain

likely to see accumulations between 2 to 4 inches. The remainder

of the area will see accumulations ranging from 1 to 3 inches.

This snowfall will produce hazardous travel conditions with

bridges becoming icy first. Use caution while traveling and allow

extra time to reach your destination.

Snowfall warning in effect for:

Mount Carleton - Renous Highway

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

Heavy, wet snow is expected today.

Total snowfall: 5 to 20 cm with the highest amounts over high terrain.

Location: Portions of northern New Brunswick.

Time span: Beginning late this morning and ending overnight tonight.

Remarks: Heavy wet snow giving 20 cm over high terrain is expected. Over lower terrain, lesser amounts near 5 cm are expected and the snow will likely be mixed with rain over some areas.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
