...SOME SLIPPERY SPOTS POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT...

Light snow will overspread the coastal plain of Maine and portions
of southeastern New Hampshire between midnight and 2 am. With
road surfaces being relatively cold, a light snow and slush
accumulation may occur allowing for a period of slippery travel
overnight. The snow will change to rain from east to west late
tonight or very early Wednesday morning. One to two inches of snow
may accumulate on grassy surfaces.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 10 PM EST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5
  inches.

* WHERE...Southeast Aroostook and Northeast Aroostook Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 AM to 10 PM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
  conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday
  evening commute and those with holiday travel plans.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause
primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Total rainfall: up to 45 mm. Locally higher amounts possible.

Locations: Lunenburg, Queens, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties.

Time span: Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

Remarks: Rainfall rates could exceed 15 mm per hour (at times).

Similar storms in the past have causes hazardous driving conditions and pooling of water on roadways. Be sure storm drains and gutters are cleared of debris.
