ONLY DID THIS BREAK THE PREVIOUS RECORD HIGH OF 77°F/25°C SET IN
1946...IT WAS THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE EVER SO LATE IN THE SEASON.
PRIOR TO TODAY...THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE EVER OBSERVED SO LATE IN
THE SEASON WAS 82°F/27.8°C ON OCTOBER 9, 2011. 

AT HOULTON...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE TODAY WAS ALSO 84°F/28.9°C. THIS
BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD HIGH OF 77°F/25°C SET IN 1959. NOT ONLY
WAS IT A DAILY RECORD...BUT IT WAS ALSO THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE
EVER OBSERVED SO LATE IN THE SEASON. PRIOR TO TODAY...THE WARMEST
TEMPERATURE EVER OBSERVED SO LATE IN THE SEASON WAS 82°F/27.8°C ON
OCTOBER 9, 1970.

AT BANGOR...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE TODAY WAS ALSO A RECORD SETTING
84°F/28.9°C. THIS BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 83°F/28.3°C IN 1948.
AT BANGOR TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 90S HAVE BEEN OBSERVED AS LATE
