Counties.
For the Pemigewasset River...including Woodstock, Plymouth...Minor
flooding is forecast.
For the Saco River...including Conway, West Buxton...Minor flooding
is forecast.
For the Presumpscot River...including West Falmouth...Minor flooding
is forecast.
For the Swift River...including Roxbury...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Swift River at Roxbury.
* WHEN...From late tonight to late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins.
At 9.0 feet, Flood waters inundate Route 17 in Byron near the
intersection of Byron Village Road.
At 10.0 feet, Closure of Route 17 likely from flood waters,
significantly impacting travel in and out of the area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 2.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after
midnight tonight to 10.3 feet tomorrow morning. It will then
fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon to 3.5 feet early
Tuesday afternoon. It will rise to 4.2 feet early Wednesday
morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

TUESDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Maine, including the following areas,
Androscoggin, Central Interior Cumberland, Coastal Cumberland,
Coastal York, Interior Cumberland Highlands, Interior York,
Kennebec, Southern Franklin, Southern Oxford and Southern
Somerset. Portions of New Hampshire, including the following
areas, Belknap, Eastern Hillsborough, Interior Rockingham,
Merrimack, Northern Carroll, Northern Grafton, Southern Carroll,
Southern Coos, Southern Grafton, Strafford and Western And Central
Hillsborough.
* WHEN...From 8 PM EDT this evening through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Current streamflows are near normal, but excessive rain
combined with saturated ground will lead to higher than
normal runoff. This may cause river levels to exceed minor
flood stage at several locations across the watch area, with
additional river locations exceeding action stage. Localized
areal flooding and small stream flooding is also likely in
some locations when heavy rain is falling during the
overnight hours.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

Strong southeasterly winds and a period of heavy rain are expected on Monday.
Total rainfall: 30 to 45 mm, possibly more in areas of heaviest rain.
Strongest wind gusts: 70 to 80 km/h, possibly higher in exposed areas.
Time span: Beginning overnight tonight in Yarmouth county and spreading to Halifax county by Monday morning. Conditions will improve by Monday evening.
Remarks: Rain at times heavy and strong southeasterly winds could make travel difficult. Coastal areas and higher terrain could experience gusts in excess of 80 km/h.
Rainfall warnings and wind warnings may be required as this event draws nearer.
