Excessive Heat Warnings Issued For New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island

Heat Warning in effect for:

Fredericton and Southern York County

Humidex values reaching 35 are expected for the next 4 days.

An extended period of very warm and humid weather is expected.

Time span: tonight through Wednesday.

Maximum daytime temperatures: 30 to 32 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 36), except cooler along the Fundy coast.

Minimum overnight temperatures: 18 degrees Celsius.

Location: New Brunswick

Remarks: A combination of very warm temperatures and elevated humidity will create very high humidex values over the next several days. Temperatures are forecast to turn cooler over all areas on Thursday.

Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

Maximum daytime temperatures: near 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 35), except cooler along parts of the coast.

Minimum overnight temperatures: 18 degrees Celsius.

Locations: Prince Edward island.

Remarks: A combination of very warm temperatures and elevated humidity will create very high humidex values over the next several days. Temperatures are forecast to turn cooler over all areas on Thursday.
