Possible Historic May Snow Event
URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Gray ME
946 PM EDT Mon May 13 2019
...LATE SPRING SNOWFALL OVERNIGHT INTO TUESDAY...
.A coastal storm is rapidly strengthening off the southern New
England coast tonight, and will continue spreading precipitation
into the region through the overnight. As temperatures cool aloft
a cold rain will begin to transition to snow, first in the
highest peaks of the White Mountains and then down towards 1000
feet very early Tuesday. Some snow may even mix in for valley
locations, especially across New Hampshire during the heaviest
precipitation. Steady rain and snow will taper to showers during
the day Tuesday with any accumulating snow mainly across the
higher terrain.
